Reddy red red

I need to collect my mail, need to pay more attention to detail, I need more.

So don't just stand there, looking at the ground, and holding your breath. Holding out.

you're always the last to know, your cigarettes and suitcases... and on and on you go.

Sweet Disposition.

This half of my folio is about displacement in the form of phobias. I've taken time out to read about weird and wonderful phobias where people have severe aversions to a particular idea, place or object. Phobias make me wonder what has to happen to make someone so afraid of something, or if nothing ever happened, how do people overcome them without even understanding what they are?
These photos were all taken using projections, and have not been edited in any way, shape or form.

Amychophobia : Fear of scratches or being scratched.

Astrophobia : Fear of stars or celestial space.

Folio development : Song for a sleepwalker SHOOT ONE.

"hanging round hallways
like to feel like we're going somewhere
and the thinner the air becomes
the more we feel at home"

Undecided whether I like this or not.
If I were to use it, it would be the far left of 4 images in the series, not sure if it's strong enough yet but I haven't shot anything else as of yet.

Paying homage to Amanda Austin.

Amanda Austin is kind of the epitome of who I want to be, stylistically and professionally. I love her personal style and she works for a lot of designers and clients that motivate me also.
She inspires me a lot, because it's almost as if she takes all the ideas that are floating around in my head and makes them actual.
I love the way she uses a certain faded and dark ambience in her photos, and yet they're always vibrant and dynamic to look at.
Here's some of her personal work that energizes me.^^^^^^^^
And here is my homage(S)... Below

What it means to be Australian.

My picture represents the opportunism of being Australian. To me, being Australian can mean anything you want it to, and that is the beauty of our culture. No deterrents, the sky's the limit.

Brief 3

No matter which way you go

No matter which way you stay

You're out of my mind, out of my mind

I was walking with a ghost

Memory

When I was about six years old I went on my very first overseas holiday with my family. Traveling around the states, I can recall a couple of scarce but vivid memories: Disneyland, being utterly confused about the time difference and not understanding how it could be Sunday on one side of the world and Monday on the other, the Houston space center, grabbing someone who wasn't my parent in a supermarket, Chloe the teddy bear, being really sick in an airport and my Dad pushing me around on a luggage trolley with aforementioned bear, leaving said bear in a hotel and those red cowboy boots. I begged my parents for those red cowboy boots and I'm fairly sure I wore them everyday for the rest of the trip.
